We offer many warranties to protect a driver’s investment in new tires with Firestone. A summary of one such warranty, and what coverage it offers, is below.
The following warranty is for tires sold as replacements only. All limited warranties are limited to original purchaser on originally installed vehicle. They do not apply to tires sold as original equipment on new vehicles or select replacement tires. Certain limitations and restrictions apply. See your authorized Firestone retailer, or the full Tire Maintenance, Safety and Warranty Manual linked below, for details.
WINTER TIRE AND "TEMPORARY USE" SPARE TIRE LIMITED WARRANTY
U.S. – If within 5 years from date of purchase (proof of purchase showing purchase date required) or 5 years from the date of manufacture, and before wearing down to 2/32nds of an inch of remaining original usable tread, a tire covered by this warranty becomes unusable for any reason within the manufacturer’s control, such tire will be replaced charging the user a prorated amount.
Canada – If, before the earliest of (i) wearing down to 2/32nds of an inch of tread depth remaining (i.e., worn down to the top of the tread depth indicators, (ii) 5 years from date of purchase (original proof of purchase showing purchase date required), or (iii) 6 years from date of manufacture, examination by Firestone shows that the tire covered by this limited warranty has become unfit for the use for which it was designed due to a manufacturing defect in workmanship or material, such tire will be replaced with a comparable Firestone tire upon payment of the prorated replacement price.
